My Thoughts:
Cordelia had been my favorite of the three girls since JG introduced them to us readers. I loved her approach to life and her zest for humor in all the books that she has appeared. This story, her story, epitomized her unshakable ability to keep trying, find humor in a situation and stay loyal to her loved ones.
If you read the stories in order you will see that there is always something between Aiden and Cordelia, or that at least I was wishing for it from the brief interactions that occurred in the other characters stories! This story held true to the rest of the series and JG's other books. It was easy to read, had laughable moments, sad moments, moments where you were cheering for the characters and moments where you just want to give some life advice. I knew when I started the book it would be captivating the entire time because the first chapter shows some serious life changes, the strength of the friendships and the true nature and humorous approach to life that Cordelia embodies.
It is a stand alone book, but I would recommend reading all of the books because it made this story that much richer knowing all of the history between them as they both grew up. One could give some slight criticism in that the ending is predictable, but I would say that is something I enjoy in this series. Yes the ending will be happy, but how the characters get to the ending is what makes this story a page turner!
