Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Former Army security expert Matt Degan is in desperate need of a Christmas miracle. His ex-wife cleaned out his savings account and abandoned their son. Sadly, he has no presents stashed.

When he finds a job as a bodyguard for Mikayla Lambert, a billionaire heiress who has been tormented by a stalker for four years, he’s caught up in family drama that threatens this beautiful woman he’s becoming enamored with and might also endanger his son. Can Matt protect everyone and save Christmas for his son, or will the stalker succeed at kidnapping Mikayla and destroying any chance at love between them?

My Thoughts
Fantastically adorable.  I enjoyed this book and found it a great read for the Christmas season.  From chopping down the tree, to the carols with different verses (so fun) and the little Christmas miracles that happen towards the end this was a fast, fun and pleasurable read. Many times I read a book I am thrown by how quickly people fall in love or solve a problem, but in this book I thought the pace was realistic and the concerns the characters discussed very appropriate/probable.

I love that every time I read a CC book I never know who or what is going to happen.  I was sure I knew who the stalker was...I mean sure...and I was wrong.  I had it narrowed to two people and nope..wrong. I liked that while this is a romance, the story covers the details of the investigation and the actions of the stalker.  This is a clean romance that shows just how sweet kisses, cuddles and time spent together can be for a couple and family.

I do have to say that I enjoyed Matt and Mik, but my favorites were the two boys and Grams! The friendship and just joy that these three convey to those around them is remarkable. One of the things I loved about this book, and all of the CC books I have read thus far, is that the characters are so well developed and relate-able.   Even the ones that are not the hero or main star have something about them that I want to love, hug, hate or hit..depending on the scene!  I also wonder if the scenes described, such as the ice castles, are real.  If so I really want to take a trip to Utah in the winter!  For me this was another fantastic story and couple from Cami Checketts, I can't wait to read more from this author!
