Before (After #5) by Anna Todd, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ Romance, New Adult

Published~ December 8, 2015

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Book Five of the After series—Anna Todd’s Wattpad fanfiction that racked up one billion reads online and captivated romance readers across the globe! As told by Hardin and other characters,Before will explore the hero’s life before he met Tessa, reveal what happens after After, give you new insights on their turbulent romance—and revel in the awesome power of true love. #HESSA

My Thoughts
Conflicted.  Part of this book I loved and thought yes that explains so much!  Part of this book I was not happy..at all.  However, to be honest it is not because of the writing, it is because I didn't agree with the outcome or characters...which I think is a good thing sometimes because it means AT wrote a series that I was invested in the characters and their outcomes.

I thought learning about some of the backstory with the characters that we see throughout or briefly mentioned in the first four books was brilliant.  I enjoy flashback style writing so it was neat to see that for different characters.  Slowly..and I do mean slowly..my opinions on Molly have gone all over this place and seeing her flashback made me rethink all her actions..still evil, but maybe not as bad..like holding up a small gap of a difference..but fascinating!  The aspect of Zed..just well it made me not like him even more (which is sad because initially I liked Zed)...maybe Hardin's issues took all the sympathy in this story, but when I read Zed's section all I could think was no please not a spin off.

If you liked the writing style, character development, relationship angst of the first four books you will love this book for all the same things.  If you did not like the first four because of the back and forth of the relationship, this book addresses the end and answers questions (though you may not like all the answers...I sure didn't).

I enjoyed reading this series and am still blown away by how each book has such a vast and wide spread response from abject hatred to absolute obsession.  It is an addictive story for sure, I am glad I read it, and extremely glad that AT provided this fifth book with a bit more insight and answers, but I am also pleased to finally see Hessa's story end and what I guess is a happy ending?!?

Secret Sisters by Jayne Ann Krentz, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ Suspense, Romance
Publisher~Berkley
Published~ December 8, 2015

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
No one does romantic suspense better than Jayne Ann Krentz. Now, the New York Times bestselling author of Trust No One andRiver Road delivers a novel that twists and turns into a read that will leave you breathless.

Madeline and Daphne were once as close as sisters—until a secret tore them apart. Now it might take them to their graves.

They knew his name, the man who tried to brutally attack twelve-year-old Madeline in her grandmother's hotel. They thought they knew his fate. He wouldn't be bothering them anymore...ever. Still their lives would never be the same.

Madeline has returned to Washington after her grandmother's mysterious death. And at the old, abandoned hotel—a place she never wanted to see again—a dying man’s last words convey a warning: the secrets she and Daphne believed buried forever have been discovered.

Now, after almost two decades, Madeline and Daphne will be reunited in friendship and in fear. Unable to trust the local police, Madeline summons Jack Rayner, the hotel chain’s new security expert. Despite the secrets and mysteries that surround him, Jack is the only one she trusts...and wants.

Jack is no good at relationships but he does possess a specific skill set that includes a profoundly intimate understanding of warped and dangerous minds. With the assistance of Jack's brother, Abe, a high-tech magician, the four of them will form an uneasy alliance against a killer who will stop at nothing to hide the truth....

My Thoughts
I can't read enough from JAK.  The characters in her stories always seem to just jump off the pages and into real life.  This story is no different.  Madeline and Daphne experienced a horribly traumatic event that in different ways shaped how they live their lives.  The vivid imagery of their looks, actions, behavior are so precise that I felt like I could see them in my mind perfectly.  The same occurred for Jack, Abe and all the of the other characters (villains and just quirky like the towns people).  I love when I read a book and I can visualize it like a movie in my head at the same time.

The romance(s) played out perfectly and I enjoyed the focus on trust rather than just the physical.  However, the main focus (and what I enjoyed the most), was the suspense of who and what was creating all these situations. The details and the way that they are interspersed into the story is simply brilliant..literally until the last scene I kept getting surprised by dialogue or character twists.  Not trying to show spoilers..but that family..wow they are all kinds of special and crazy and wow...perfect dna of no.  I found this an intriguing and captivating story from start to end and can't wait to read more from JAK.

After Ever Happy (After #4), by Anna Todd

General Information
Genre~ New Adult, Romance
Publisher~ Gallery Books
Published~ February 24, 2015

Book Summary (Per Amazon)
Tessa and Hardin have defied all the odds, but will their fairy tale ending be turned on its head?AFTER EVER HAPPY...Life will never be the same. #HESSA

It’s never been all rainbows and sunshine for Tessa and Hardin, but each new challenge they’ve faced has only made their passionate bond stronger and stronger. But when a revelation about the past shakes Hardin’s inpenetrable fa├žade to the core—and then Tessa suffers a tragedy—will they stick together again, or be torn apart?

As the shocking truth about each of their families emerges, it’s clear the two lovers are not so different from each other. Tessa is no longer the sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin—any more than he is the cruel, moody boy she fell so hard for. Tessa understands all the troubling emotions brewing beneath Hardin’s exterior, and she knows she’s the only one who can calm him when he erupts. He needs her.

But the more layers of his past come to light, the darker he grows, and the harder he pushes Tessa—and everyone else in his life—away. Tessa’s not sure if she really can save him—not without sacrificing herself. She refuses to go down without a fight. But who is she fighting for—Hardin or herself?

My Thoughts
I think this has been my favorite so far of the After series.  I did not see the tragedy coming for Tessa.  I imagined quite a few things from this blurb, but not that.  I loved the descriptive writing style in this story and I felt that the pages flew by for After Ever Happy.  I cried, laughed, got irritated, and fell in love with who Hessa turned out to be by the end of this story.   In fact, the openness that Hardin showed through the pages, his demeanor with her, etc. was some of what made me enjoy this story so much. The ending is incredibly sweet, poignant, sad and then uplifting.  At times I never thought I wanted this ending, but after reading all four books and seeing the dynamic truly change in this one...I thought the ending was perfect.

That doesn't mean I loved everything about this story.  For, even when they finally are trying to mature, they somehow are on some weird tug of war regarding commitment issues. I would have lost my marbles over those typed pages and purpose of them, so kudos to Tessa to being strong.  It definitely showed growth on both characters part.  Additionally, I found that the statement about waiting for marriage was ridiculous, especially considering their relationship for the entire series. The last thing that was ech to me..was the title.  I get the play on words, but I do not like this title...at all.  It sounds awkward and bothers me. Ridiculous probably, but there you have it!

I have seen many reviews rave about this series and many slam this series.  I do not know much about one direction, as in beyond knowing that  they are a band I am clueless, so I am not sure how this is fan fiction for them.  Perhaps that is why I am not so hard on this story.  I enjoyed the series and the characters.  The length of the story was actually enjoyable because we got to really know the characters, their strengths, weaknesses, pain, love, etc.   I came to adore Ken and Vance, Landon is still my favorite..can he be one of my best friends?.  Smith is probably the most adorable kid ever and I could go on.  The main thing, as in the only thing, I did not like about the story (But I think it is why so many people kept coming back) is the volatile nature and slightly abusive way that the two treat each other.  Many times we all have that friend or are ourselves stuck in a relationship with a weird cycle that doesn't make sense to anyone else, but it does to them/us.  I feel that this book showcases that cycle and desire for a relationship to work out...though maybe a wee bit too extreme with some of the things Hardin pulled!

Never Never: Part Three by Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ New Adult, Romance, YA
Published~ January 19, 2016

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
New York Times bestselling authors Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher are back with the much-anticipated final installment in the Never Never novella series.
Together, Silas Nash and Charlize Wynwood must look deeper into the past to find out who they were and who they want to be. With time ticking down, the couple are in a race to find the answers they need before they lose everything. Can they regain what they once had? And will it restore who they once were?

My Thoughts
We have all the answers (I think)!  It was creative, sweet, fierce, somewhat cheesy and absolutely fantastic.  I think this book might be the best I have read in regards to showing the difference that our decisions make AND how sometimes we can't see what is right in front of us.

The way the story comes together is brilliantly written and executed.  The emotion in the scenes, especially with her father, are raw and extremely realistic.  I loved that this book was told from both POV and that we still got to learn more about the side characters...aka that the brother and sister dated!   My only eck about the book is the very last scene.  I can't say more without spoilers, but I just didn't like the ending.  I thought is somehow made what Silas and Charlie experienced in Parts 1, 2 and 3 somewhat less special.

With that though I would like to see more of Silas and Charlie.  How did they move on, what happened to the dad, mom, sister/brother relationship, etc. are all questions I want to know!  And lastly, I adore..adore these covers!  The imagery of the two hands or one hand on each cover..just perfect.

The Secret to Letting Go by Katherine Fleet, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ YA
Publisher~ Entangled Publishing, LLC
Published~ February 1, 2016

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
One summer can change everything...

Haunted with guilt after his girlfriend’s death, Daniel Hudson has no interest in committing to anyone. At the end of the summer, he’ll be leaving Florida for a new start in college. If only he could avoid the mysterious new girl in town, who seems every bit as naive and eccentric as she looks. Trouble is, she’s hard to ignore, with her beautiful piercing eyes, pitiful-looking dog, and unsettling tendency of finding trouble.

Clover Scott lived her whole life off the grid and arrives on the Gulf coast in search of her grandparents. She never expected to nearly drown, or get caught in a hurricane, or fall in love with the boy who rescues her. Now, she has a chance to rewrite her life’s story, to finally fit in somewhere, but Daniel wants answers about her past. When the police start asking questions about the disappearance of her parents, she must make a choice: go to jail or confess her secrets—even if they might destroy her chance at a happily-ever-after.

My Thoughts
I loved everything, EVERYTHING, about this book.  If you read my blog you know I always find nice things to say about a book/product and then in a sentence or two will also say an issue if I had one with it.  Not here, nope, not needed, won't happen.  I can't stop thinking about this story, the characters, the twists and how much I enjoyed it!

Each character is well developed and so relate-able.  The book shows the growth that they experience individually and through their interactions with family/friends/community. There are quirks with each of the teens, parents and other adults in this story that I found enjoyable and harsh, just as if I was in the room for these conversations (aka mom questioning Clover at the pool)!  The plot and character twists of this book were perfectly timed, planned and executed.  I couldn't even..that letter...that letter changed so much and the timing of it... I think I would have passed out or just started hysterically laughing/crying.  The writing style was fluid and the story was a non-stop page turner for me.  As in, I started out with the idea of reading a chapter before bed...wrong..several hours later I finished and just wanted more!

This is KF's debut novel, and I for one cannot wait to read more from her!  By that, I mean any books, but I would love to see more about Amelia and Sam, Sam and Clover, Clover and Daniel...oh just everyone!  My last word about this story is regarding the title and cover.  As I read more of the story and finished it I enjoyed the title, its meaning and the cover even more!

Accidentally in Love with the Biker by Teri Anne Stanley, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ Romance
Publisher~ Entangled Publishing, LLC
Published~ February 8, 2016

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Aspiring writer Kelli Dalton needs a man, and fast. When she’s rear-ended by a sexy-as-sin biker on the way to a Vegas romance readers convention, she sees her chance. If he’ll pose as her fake boyfriend long enough to impress a bestselling author, Kelli has a shot at saving the bookstore for underprivileged kids she runs back home.

Quinn Anderson doesn’t know what to make of the cute little writer who stirs his heart and his libido, but he does know he wants to get better acquainted. And if that means keeping up their sexy ruse all week, he’s game.

Quinn knows girl like Kelli deserves someone with a secure future to help with her store, not a guy struggling to turn a profit on his chopper shop. But if his motorcycle designs win the big Vegas competition, he’ll have enough prize money to fund his dreams…and hers.

My Thoughts
Love, laughter, cringe-worthy but adorable moments are the norm in this book.  I adored this story and am smiling/chuckling as I write this review.

This is a very quick and enjoyable read.  The flirty tone of the cover and title is carried throughout the book.  Who could not love Quinn? A biker, with those looks, willing to attend costume parties at a romance writing convention....brave! Quinn and Kelli both have some struggles in this story with their individual careers, but the way they approach their careers, friends and family will have you relating in some aspects and laughing in others.  TAS created a fun cast of characters that have a variety of backgrounds that she displays in a fantastic play on stereotypes.  The scene at Quinn's parents house...I could not stop cringing and laughing.  The jumping on the bed, the conversation after Kelli meets his family and the awards ceremony are my favorite moments...what can I say I am a sucker for those funny or sweet moments!

If you enjoy laughing, sweet romances with some steamy scenes and plots you can relate with, you should check this book out when it is published on February 8th!

The Poison Artist by Jonathan Moore, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ Mystery, Fiction, Thriller
Publisher~ Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
Published~ January 26, 2016

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Dr. Caleb Maddox is a San Francisco toxicologist studying the chemical effects of pain. After a bruising breakup with his girlfriend, he’s out drinking whiskey when a hauntingly seductive woman appears by his side. Emmeline whispers to Caleb over absinthe, gets his blood on her fingers and then brushes his ear with her lips as she says goodbye. He must find her.

As his search begins, Caleb becomes entangled in a serial-murder investigation. The police have been fishing men from the bay, and the postmortems are inconclusive. One of the victims vanished from the bar the night Caleb met Emmeline. When questioned, Caleb can’t offer any information, nor does he tell them he’s been secretly helping the city’s medical examiner, an old friend, study the chemical evidence on the victims’ remains. The search for the killer soon entwines with Caleb’s hunt for Emmeline, and the closer he gets to each, the more dangerous his world becomes.

From the first pages up to the haunting, unforgettable denouement, The Poison Artist is a gripping thriller about obsession and damage, about a man unmoored by an unspeakable past and an irresistible woman who offers the ultimate escape.

My Thoughts
Enthralling and intriguing.  These are the type of words that come to mind when I think of this story.  Each page holds a mystery that slowly reveals itself as the book ends.  While I was reading I would have seconds where I would question if someone was involved, but it never lasted long because of a new twist or point of view that directed me elsewhere.  The writing style is brilliant and the detail included in this story allowed me to fully experience the world, journey and musings of all the characters.

Many times I was like wait, what happened to him as a child?  Why don't they talk about it? What caused this breakup? I love how JM gave us these tidbits of information just at the perfect point.  Upon finishing the book I can see where he gave even more clues that I did not notice while reading.  All the characters were well developed, but I loved how he described his mystery woman...everything from appearance, attitude, voice, etc. just aided in building the ultimate seductive femme fatale.

This is the first book I have read from JM, but his grasp and delivery of such a gripping thriller has me ready and wanting to read more!

After We Fell (After #3) by Anna Todd, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ YA, Romance
Publisher~ Gallery Books
Published~ December 30, 2014

Book Summary (Per Amazon)
Book 3 of the After series—newly revised and expanded, Anna Todd's After fanfiction racked up 1 billion reads online and captivated readers across the globe. Experience the internet's most talked-about book for yourself from the writer Cosmopolitan called “the biggest literary phenomenon of her generation.”

Tessa and Hardin’s love was complicated before. Now it’s more confusing than ever. AFTER WE FELL...Life will never be the same. #HESSA

Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.

Tessa’s life begins to come unglued. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends. Not her family. The one person she should be able to rely on, Hardin, is furious when he discovers the massive secret she’s been keeping. And rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.

Tessa knows Hardin loves her and will do anything to protect her, but there’s a difference between loving someone and being able to have them in your life. This cycle of jealousy, unpredictable anger, and forgiveness is exhausting. She’s never felt so intensely for anyone, so exhilarated by someone’s kiss—but is the irrepressible heat between her and Hardin worth all the drama? Love used to be enough to hold them together. But if Tessa follows her heart now, will it be...the end?

My Thoughts
Move over Molly you are not the worst villain in town...there are a lot of holy cripes moments in this book (heck series), but the going away party sealed that deal.  ***** is EVIL, I mean I didn't see that coming at all.  On one hand I am like poor Tessa and on the other hand I am yelling at her for not seeing this group as the crap that they are and never EVER talking to them again.  Nothing goes well in that house or with that group of people.  Additionally, why has Ken, the Chancellor, not addressed oh anything that has taken place in that house?!?!?!

I was so proud of Tessa for staying true to herself and following her dream.  I enjoy the writing style in this book because I think many people go through the whole should I or should I not in their decision making.  I loved the spurts of growth we saw with Hardin in this book.  His relationship and time with Tessa's father warmed my heart. The ending...well that is another story of really..just really how much can we take before we just don't want him in the story at all?  I think that is the brilliance of the story though..just when we say enough Hardin does something that just grabs those heart strings and makes us say ok..one more go.

This story was very much a roller coaster for Hessa as a couple and each of them individually.  AT does a great job writing this story and giving details.  There was plenty that frustrated me in regards to their relationship and treatment in this story, but that idea of change and hope and love keeps me ensnared in this journey!

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ YA, Fantasy
Publisher~ Quirk
Published~ June 7, 2011

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of curious photographs.

A horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

My Thoughts

I picked up this book from hearing JesseTheReader talk about it in so many booktube videos.  Andddd I am so glad I did!  I found this story and the world that RR creates fascinating.

The characters come to life in this story and the pictures are so incredible.  I read this as an ebook and was impressed by the photos and what it helped create in the book, so I can only imagine how much atmosphere these pictures create in a tangible version of the book.  The cover is captivating and pulls you into an already rich title.  Why are these children peculiar? Who is Miss. Peregrine?

RR writes in a very descriptive manner and I between the words and pictures I felt like I could see this world come to life.  The idea of time travel is not new, but I thought the idea of a loop where the same day is what occurred over and over was genius.  I mean can you imagine meeting someone who looked 12 and was in their late 70s-80s?  What if you knew someone who could reanimate the dead? Lift up a house? Levitate? Truly be invisible?  It takes the question about what would your superpower be if you could do anything to a new realm!

The build up to who the grandfather was and what all he did...easily my favorite part of the book because it incorporates so many of the characters and allows them to be shown in a variety of lights.  I enjoyed Miss. Peregrine's personality and hope to learn more about her in book two.  In some aspects she reminded me of Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter series because of how caring but strict she can be when warranted. Then, at the beginning I did not like Jacob's parents at all.  What he overheard his mom say broke my heart.  His dad I didn't find much better until their heart to heart at the bar regarding Jacob's grandfather.  Then, let's talk about a twist I didn't see coming..hello to the hollow and wight that we find near the end of this first adventure...I did not see that identity coming..at all!  Poor Jacob!  I thought the ending was great, but it left me with a lot of questions that hopefully will get answered in the next book with Miss Peregrine, Emma, Jacob and the rest of the peculiar s!

Kill it with Magic (Lillim Callina Book #1) by J.A. Cipriano, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ Paranormal, YA, Fantasy
Published~ September 22, 2014

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Sixteen-year-old Lillim Callina is good at two things: running away and magic.

Now, Lillim's half-demon ex-boyfriend is contacting her for help, she has somehow gotten herself mixed up in a kidnapping, and her long-dead rival has risen from the grave.

So when a dragon plotting to take over the world offers her a choice: Work for him or else.

Lillim Callina is going to choose else.

My Thoughts
Vampires, Dragons, Werewolves, Human guards and more in this action packed adventure that pits the species and groups against each other in a new manner.  There are different worlds, ways to travel, gross castles, babies to safe, magical abilities, previous lives to avoid and ex's to run from in Lilliam's world.

JAC creates a world where action is the norm and remembering your previous lives is part of the everyday.  The writing style is very vivid and well developed.  There were quite a few characters introduced, but they all had a distinct personality that I either loved, loathed or was admittedly confused by. haha.  When we first were introduced to Lilliam's mentor, I thought wow he must love her, then as the story progressed...jerk, but then by the ending I was conflicted about whether I thought he was a good or bad guy. Now I am left wondering how does a human guard have that much power? Apparently things are not so simple in this quest to keep things in line between the worlds.

Her ghost attachment, and what we learn about him, has me intrigued for more of their adventures.  I wonder how she will address what she learned from Rhapsody (fantastic name) in the nether. I thought the vampire Bob was hilarious and hope to see more of him in the future Lilliam books.  I didn't like Joshua or Caleb as a romantic interest that much..I know I am horrible, but I did enjoy their characters and want to learn more about this poison inside of Caleb.  However, the character I want to see/learn about the most is Trius and him being a dragon.

Last note~ the cover of this book and the weapons used in this story..simply fantastic.  I can't wait to learn more about the weapons, how they are used, made, why some are feared, etc.!

Destined Havoc by Nina Levine, Book Review

General Information
Genre~ Romance
Published~ September 1st, 2014

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Meet Havoc Caldwell & Carla Walker...

A man who walked away from it all.
A woman who craves it all.
A destiny they never saw coming.

Havoc Caldwell lost everything two years ago and left town a bitter and hard man. Now he lives life as a nomad with no ties or commitments to anyone but himself and his club, Storm MC.

Carla Walker is searching for more out of life. She grew up with no father, and her family struggled to make ends meet. Now she wants it all - a man who will make her his number one priority, a successful career, and a family of her own.

A chance encounter leads to a one night stand, and neither expect it to go any further. Havoc has no desire for a relationship and Carla could never see herself settling down with a biker. Sometimes though, a destiny you could never imagine exists and as much as you fight it, there’s no way you can escape it.

My Thoughts
First off...that book cover..I can't..drool. By far and away I think NL does the best book covers.  Somehow I always think the model embodies the characters she writes about and the tattoos are everything!  I came across NL via a sponsored ad on Facebook and it truly was the best ad I have ever clicked on!  I think at this point I have read all of her books and now am stuck waiting for the next to be released:)

Havoc~ where to begin.  Well, to me this book reads as if he is the ultimate (even over the other Storm men-minus Blade), bad boy.  The way he turns the woman down, the way he talks to Carla, the way he is with the club, phewww..just put up a blinker over his head that says leave me alone, I don't get a f***!  Also, I want to know his backstory aka what does he mean about his fiancee wanting his dads money? What happened to make him leave his family and club? I need more!!

Carla~ she is a hoot.  I loved meeting her in Nash's story and she is even better and full of sass in her story.  Her reactions to the customer who was rude, the professor, and more had me in hoots.  I hope to see more of her mom because to have Carla and Nash as her children that woman is a saint or absolutely hysterical or both! As always, NL creates full bodied characters that you love, hate, enjoy and feel for.  At the end of this novella I was left with a NOOO because their story was not over and I wanted to find out the rest.  If you enjoy the sexy/steamy scenes in NL's book you will most certainly enjoy them here.  If you read these books for the attitude and action in the club and between the couples hurry up and start reading because Havoc does not hold back on violence, action, opinion or well anything!

For those that have read this book and also want to know the rest of Havoc and Carla's story..well apparently my friends we have some more information! *All of this is found on NL Facebook page* I personally can't wait because just from this Novella, I think Havoc will make my top two favorite men become a top three favorite men for the Storm family (which is kind of funny since my top two favorites are Blade and Nash)!

Now who can't wait for March 8?!?!

How does she even move on..how is there even a book two?  I mean I still have no words from the way After ended.  After We Collided picks up right after the gutting scene in the bar.  On one hand I am full of awe for Tessa talking to any of them for information and just talking, on the other hand I am appalled that she sticks around after what the entire group knew and took part in against her.  Brings up the question what all will we forgive, work through, etc. if we are in love?

The way AT writes this story keeps me captivated and ensnared even though I know it will be more of the same promises, fights, break up, make up, etc.  I love the way we hear the internal dialogue and get to know all the side characters.  I adore Landon.  He is the friend that everyone needs in their life.  I don't get and I am annoyed by the entire Zed component.  I mean he knew and was just as active in the bet, the only difference is that he didn't win so I am not sure why he is getting the white knight role of the book...also there is something else that makes me think he is not as nice as Tessa thinks.

This is a long story, but I didn't want to put it down because I want to know what happens between Tessa and Hardin, how and when do they go separate ways or will they find a way to make it work, how can so many people be this much of a villain?  It no longer is just Molly, but a whole slew of them that I am just OMG over all the actions.  The ending has me tense because we know Tessa has made a decisions, Hardin doesn't know about it and then hello cliffhanger of a major emotional tidal-wave.

You guessed it..I immediately had to go start book three.  I know it is likely to be more of the emotional upheaval and cruelty with some beautiful moments, but I need to see what happens!
