Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Two strangers trapped together in a blizzard.
One running from the past; one with no future.
Two destinies collide.
London Sykes is on her own for the first time in her life after a sequence of betrayal and abuse. One man rescues her only to destroy her himself. An unfortunate accident lands her in a ditch only to be rescued by the most closed-off man she’s ever met, albeit undeniably handsome.
Kadin Cole is at the cabin in the woods for the very first and the very last time. Since his grief doesn’t allow for him to return home to a life he’s no longer able to live alone, he’s finally made what has been the hardest decision of his life. His plans change drastically when a beautiful woman in a little red car crashes into his life.
How can she trust another man?
How could he ever love again?
Will happenstance and ensuing sexual attraction be enough to heal two hearts enough that they can see in themselves what the other sees?

My Thoughts
So many favorite scenes that were just delicious!  The blurb informs us of betrayal, but based off of the first scene of the book, I so did not see that betrayal coming or that fast!  But no that wasn't the biggest or most shocking of scenes...no I am going to save that designation for none other than the blonde we meet about half way through the book (My head is still in a whirl over that whole situation).  As with the other books I read from MJ I loved the writing style and imagery.  There are a plethora of quotations that have stuck with me and were perfect for the mood/scene of the moment.

Compelling, funny, hot, sad, romantic and angsty all are adjectives that fit this non-stop page turner.  I enjoy romances, but many times I get bored because they can be predictable...not here.   I wondered almost to the very end about whether or not they would work out and how they could work out with some of the drama in their backgrounds...which I loved.  The entire story I felt captivated by the emotion and story of both Kadin and London.  The friends and families were so well-developed that I hope we can somehow learn more about them...mainly Justin and Jillian!

I do not like giving specific scenes because sometimes that scene might be pivotal for some other reader, but I have to address several things here that I LOVED in this story.  First off~ the names.  The names are fantastic, especially the brothers nicknames!!!  Secondly~ the scene at the bar near the later part of the book...epic dialogue and action:)  Finally~ the utter beauty of "I have a thing for gingers" and how that plays out...it made me smile with utter joy.

I am a fan of MJ and her stories, writing style and ability to create these journeys that suck me into the pages.  This book, Love me Like That, is certainly one of my favorites from her.  Probably it is tied for first with To Hale and Back:)  Can't wait for the next adventure!
